From Seed To Shot

Drinking a glass of spirits is a lot like strolling through a garden.

Juniper berries, coriander, angelica, and orris root – garden ingredients like these can turn a plain gin into something special.

We could always buy these ingredients off store shelves, but we’d rather grow our own. And so this spring, we’ve added a spirits garden to Rogue Farms in Independence, Oregon.

Here’s the first step. Several juniper bushes we planted along the walk to the Willamette River. We’ll use this year’s crop in Pink Gin, Spruce Gin and maybe a vodka.

These garden boxes, just a few steps away, is where we’re planting ginger, orris root, angelica, coriander, lavender, cucumbers and chamomile. We’ll distill everything grown here.

The Rogue Farms Botanical Garden will be the origin of many new ingredients in the proprietary palate of flavors we grow for our beers and spirits. From Seed to Shot and Ground to Glass, we grow gin, whiskey, rum and vodka. That philosophy makes a difference you can taste in every bottle.
